Ranges describe known capabilities, not a complete inventory. Contact our team when a requirement falls outside a listed range.
Choose the stud style your assembly needs
Tuttle manufactures custom threaded studs with continuous threads, a single threaded end, or two threaded ends. Full-body and undersized-body options let the request reflect the geometry on your drawing.
Continuous threaded studs
Specify the overall length and thread requirement for a continuously threaded part. For longer continuously threaded components, also see custom threaded rods.
Single-end threaded studs
Provide the overall length, thread length, body diameter, and any end details. Identify which end is threaded on your drawing or in the description.
Double-end threaded studs
Specify each end separately: thread size, threaded length, and any differences between the ends. Include the length and diameter of the unthreaded body.
Rolled or cut threads
Studs can be made with rolled or cut threads. Specify the required process when it is part of the drawing; otherwise ask our team to review the manufacturing approach. Learn more about our thread rolling services.
Material and dimensional review
Give the material grade, thread requirements, tolerances, finish, and quantity with your request. Diameter and process suitability are confirmed for the specific job rather than inferred from a general range. For popular or special metric sizes, review our metric capabilities.
Frequently asked questions
Can the two ends of a stud have different requirements?
Describe each end independently in the RFQ, including thread size and length. Our team will review the geometry and manufacturing requirements.
Can I request a stud without knowing whether to roll or cut the threads?
Yes. Share the drawing requirements and any process restrictions. Our team can discuss a suitable manufacturing approach.
What information is needed to quote a custom stud?
Include the stud style, overall and threaded lengths, body diameter, thread specifications, material grade, and quantity. Add timing and documentation requirements when known.
